We are seeking an experienced Project Manager specializing in civil construction to lead the civil works segment of a major commercial construction project in Auckland. This role demands a dedicated professional who excels in managing projects on schedule, within budget, and with a strong emphasis on safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of the civils package for a large-scale commercial construction endeavor.
• Manage site logistics to ensure smooth and efficient operations throughout the project duration.
• Collaborate with the project team to monitor and control costs, ensuring cost-efficiency.
• Supervise and coordinate the civils project team and subcontractors, working closely with planners and engineers.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable safety regulations, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Proactively identify and manage risks, troubleshoot arising issues, and communicate any potential operational impacts clearly.
• Oversee all project documentation, including contracts, permits, and safety reports to maintain compliance and transparency.

Candidate Profile

• A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related discipline is preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of civil project management experience, with substantial exposure to commercial construction projects.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large projects from initiation through completion.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication abilities.
• Comprehensive understanding of construction processes, contractual obligations, and safety procedures.
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure and manage time efficiently.
• Familiarity with project management software such as Primavera 6.
