Haskett Works is a leading custom fabrication and design studio located in Seattle, Washington. Our specialized team of 15 artists, designers, and craftspeople create innovative experiential activations, pop-ups, trade shows, and retail environments for major global brands like Nike, Apple, Amazon, and more.

Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of custom fabrication projects. These projects include live entertainment elements, props, retail and brand activations, museum exhibits, and other creative builds. In this role, you will work closely with a dedicated Technical Designer who handles CAD drafting and production preparations. Your key responsibility is overseeing client relationships, managing budgets and margins, and ensuring timely, high-quality project completions nationwide.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage projects end-to-end as the main contact for creative agencies and corporate clients from hand-off to final delivery.
• Create project plans, budgets, and estimates, closely monitoring margins and controlling scope changes with change orders.
• Coordinate effectively with internal teams, clients, and vendors to guarantee smooth project execution.
• Source, purchase, and oversee materials, products, and services required for production.
• Track project progress, identify risks early, and implement corrective measures to maintain schedules.
• Keep detailed and accurate documentation including budgets, schedules, and run-of-show reports.
• Conduct site visits for production or installation supervision as necessary.
• Communicate and collaborate proficiently with clients and team members.

Candidate Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience managing projects and leading teams in deadline-driven settings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills with negotiation and customer service expertise.
• Exceptional organization, multitasking, and time management skills.
• Ability to remain calm and solve problems under pressure during inflexible event deadlines.
• Comprehensive understanding of custom fabrication processes, including metals, carpentry, plastics, and finishing standards related to scenery and props.
• High proficiency with computers and familiarity with CAD software, especially SketchUp, is highly advantageous.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel occasionally.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional background in project management, theater production, design, business, or a related field.
• Between three to five years of relevant project management experience.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• This position requires working onsite, primarily within an office next to our fabrication workshop.
• Occasional site visits to clients or event venues will be required.
• Moderate physical activity is necessary; ability to lift items up to 50 pounds.
• Some evening or weekend work may be needed to meet project deadlines or installation schedules.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting salary range from $80,000 to $90,000 annually, based on experience.
