Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Project Coordinator to support our Project Manager(s) in managing work plans, construction timelines, and coordinating manpower, materials, and equipment for projects. The ideal candidate excels in client relations, is highly motivated to learn and embrace challenges, works well in teams, and communicates project updates effectively across various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and attend project meetings, document minutes, and ensure follow-up on deliverables and action items.
  • Manage permit processes and provide logistical support for smooth project execution.
  • Identify project risks and challenges, propose solutions, and manage stakeholder perspectives to drive favorable results.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Management to review budgets and cost forecasts for financial accuracy.
  • Maintain comprehensive communication and decision logs as well as project fact sheets throughout project duration.
  • Track and manage issue and risk logs, including mitigation strategies.
  • Keep project documentation current and precise, including plans, drawings, submittals, document logs, and purchase orders.
  • Review subcontractor and supplier progress applications and payment certificates.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers regarding contracts, change orders, design changes, RFIs, and RFQs.
  • Assist with preparing final project document turnover to clients upon completion.
  • Ensure timely management of project deficiencies.

Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a post-secondary diploma or degree in a construction-related field.
  • Brings at least three years of project support experience, preferably with an industrial, commercial, or institutional (ICI) general contractor or subcontractor.
  • Experience managing commercial or institutional projects from initiation to completion.
  • Capable of interpreting contract specifications, drawings, and various construction documents.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially MS Project and SharePoint.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Able to effectively prioritize tasks even as project demands rise.
