About the Role
The Program Specialist is essential in facilitating the delivery, management, and performance assessment of the EV ChargeON program portfolio at the Ontario Centre of Innovation (OCI). Collaborating closely with the Director of EV ChargeON and multiple internal teams, this role ensures programs are executed efficiently, adhere to government funding requirements, and meet OCI operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage comprehensive reporting for the EV ChargeON program, including timeline coordination, template development, and collaboration with funding recipients to ensure all submissions meet compliance and deadlines.
- Gather operational data from funding recipients and stakeholders, monitor reporting adherence, and promote standardized data governance practices.
- Analyze, verify, and clean submitted charging usage data and related documentation to assure data integrity and consistency.
- Assist in creating dashboards and analytical tools to monitor infrastructure performance, utilization, and program impact.
- Serve as the primary contact for reporting issues, working directly with charging network operators, consultants, and project proponents.
- Enhance workflows by designing standard operating procedures, automating processes where possible, and refining program metrics to align with EV ChargeON goals.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting guidelines, including FAQs, templates, and procedural documentation.
- Maintain program-wide project tracking systems and consolidate data for reporting purposes.
- Compile and update a repository of success stories, key metrics, and project achievements for communications and reporting.
- Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications
- A university degree in Business, Public Administration, Data Analytics, Engineering, Environmental Studies, or related disciplines.
- Relevant experience or strong interest in EV charging infrastructure, clean transportation, energy, utilities, or government-funded projects is advantageous.
- Minimum of three years in program coordination, reporting, data analysis, or infrastructure-related roles.
- Proven ability to handle complex reporting involving multiple parties and deadlines.
- Strong analytical capabilities with experience in interpreting large datasets and summarizing reporting outcomes.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and proficient use of PowerPoint, Word, and data visualization or reporting tools.
- Exceptional organizational, project management, and communication abilities.
- Self-driven with capacity to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities.
- Effective stakeholder management and client service orientation.
- Experience in developing operational processes, templates, and reporting frameworks is a bonus.
