About the Team
The Global Integrity Programs (GIP) team serves as a fundamental element of Trust & Safety, focused on protecting the integrity of our platform's information and preserving societal trust. We lead significant cross-disciplinary initiatives tackling critical integrity issues, such as elections, high-risk events, user empowerment, media literacy, and fact-checking efforts. Our work integrates global risk management, product teams, and policy frameworks to implement sustainable, scalable solutions that safeguard our community.
Role Overview
We are seeking individual contributor Program Managers to fully lead the Elections & High-Risk Events and Fact-Checking programs within the GIP team. This position operates at the intersection of Product, Policy, Operations, Data Science, and external collaborations, converting insights from election monitoring, fact-checking operations, escalations, and root cause analyses into well-defined strategies and improvements to minimize negative escalations over time. You will also support broader integrity areas including misinformation, civic integrity, and AI-generated content protection, helping define how the platform maintains global information integrity and user trust.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the comprehensive Elections and High-Risk Events integrity program regionally, which includes planning annual strategy, risk prioritization, playbook development, launch preparations, and coordination during critical periods.
- Lead and oversee the regional Fact-Checking program, handling daily operations with external fact-checking partners, ensuring calibration and integration of fact-check outcomes into product interventions and operational guidelines.
- Integrate multiple risk signals from election workflows, fact-checking, escalations, and external sources into actionable risk narratives and mitigation approaches that reduce negative escalations.
- Develop, monitor, and communicate program health through relevant metrics and dashboards; collaborate with Data Science teams to create and refine measurement tools, early-warning signs, and reports.
- Collaborate with Product, Policy, Operations, and UX teams to design, implement, and iterate on user-facing safety features such as search aids, banners, and information hubs that guide users to reliable information and clarify policy.
- Act as a central program leader and communicator by aligning cross-functional stakeholders across geographies, managing rapid-response efforts when urgent issues arise, and documenting decisions, owners, and next actions clearly.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of program management or relevant experience in Trust & Safety, risk management, or similar complex problem-solving environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in leading complex, cross-team projects with minimal oversight and influencing across Product, Policy, Operations, and Trust & Safety in demanding scenarios.
- Specialized knowledge in one or more of the following domains: misinformation, civic integrity (including elections and high-risk events), AI-generated content, with additional awareness of related high-risk areas.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with complex data in ambiguous settings.
- Excellent communication abilities, including drafting strategic documents, decision memos, executive updates, and confidently engaging senior leadership.
- High ownership mentality, resilience, and proactive approach; effective in high-pressure environments focusing on lasting outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Trust & Safety, content policy, platform integrity, or related civic or information integrity sectors.
- Practical exposure to product operations and deployment of user interventions such as search result modifications, banners, in-app information hubs, or educational outreach campaigns.
- Experience managing or expanding partnerships with external organizations like fact-checking bodies, NGOs, or academic groups, including coordination and performance evaluation.
- Collaboration with Data Science or analytics teams to define success criteria, create dashboards, and assess program effectiveness.
- Knowledge of regulatory or industry standards relevant to elections, civic integrity, or online misinformation.
