Position Overview

Location and Language Requirements
- The role is based in Berlin, Germany with a hybrid work model.
- Candidates must reside in Germany or have valid working rights within the country.
- Proficiency in German at B2 level or higher is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and support scalable applications utilizing Python.
- Work collaboratively with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to define, create, and refine new features.
- Translate customer feedback into effective, practical technical solutions.
- Develop APIs and backend services prioritizing reliability and efficiency.
- Produce clean, maintainable code with comprehensive testing.
- Engage in code reviews and promote best engineering practices.
- Influence product direction by contributing technical insights to decisions.
- Enhance system performance, scalability, and developer workflows consistently.
Requirements
- Demonstrated commercial software development experience with Python.
- Practical experience creating production-level web applications and APIs.
- Familiarity with modern Python web frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
- Competence in working with SQL databases and RESTful APIs.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, testing methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.
- A product-first perspective that balances technical quality with business impact.
- Fluent professional command of English.
