Role overview
This part-time Procurement Assistant position in Dubai combines on-site presence with some work-from-home flexibility. The role supports everyday purchasing work and helps keep procurement activities organized, compliant, and on schedule.
Key duties
- Prepare, issue, and follow through on purchase orders.
- Keep supplier information accurate and up to date.
- Support communication with vendors and respond to basic procurement queries.
- Monitor delivery progress and help track inventory requirements.
- Assist in making sure purchasing activities follow council rules and budget limits.
- Help identify suppliers, gather quotations, and compare pricing options.
- Draft simple summaries and reports for internal teams and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with internal departments to understand purchasing needs and provide status updates on orders or issues.
Qualifications and requirements
- Basic knowledge of procurement, purchasing, and vendor coordination is needed.
- Experience in an administrative or procurement support role is preferred, especially in a business council, corporate, or trade-oriented setting.
- Ability to create and manage purchase orders with careful data entry and document handling.
- Good analytical ability to review quotations, compare costs, and support straightforward cost checks.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for dealing with suppliers and internal teams.
- Comfort using MS Office tools such as Excel, Word, and email for records and reporting.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a busy environment.
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a similar field is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of the UAE business environment and interest in Greek–UAE trade relations would be an advantage.
