Job Overview

Spire Murrayfield Hospital is seeking a dedicated Porter to join their team on a full-time permanent basis, working 37.5 hours per week. This role involves providing comprehensive support across various departments with minimal supervision, including courier, portering, theatre assistance, cleaning, and security duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service, offering empathetic support to patients during potentially unsettling times.
• Escort patients safely and courteously.
• Perform diverse tasks such as transporting equipment and pathology samples, cleaning duties, gardening, and maintaining site security.
• Manage post, deliveries, and handle all waste collection and disposal, including clinical waste.
• Assist with moving goods and equipment as required and undertake any additional tasks assigned.

Shift Pattern

• Shifts include 6 AM to 2 PM, 8 AM to 4 PM, and 1 PM to 9 PM.
• Work one in three Saturdays, typically 7 AM to 3 PM, with additional hours on request.
