Plumbing & Firefighting Estimation Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Plumbing & Firefighting Estimation Engineer to join our team, focused on delivering precise cost analysis and tender documentation for various projects. The role demands thorough interpretation of system drawings and specifications to facilitate accurate project bidding and budgeting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost estimates for plumbing, drainage, and firefighting installations based on technical drawings, specifications, Bill of Quantities (BOQs), and tender documents.
• Examine PHE and firefighting schematics to ascertain project scope, quantity assessments, and system requirements.
• Create comprehensive BOQs, material take-offs, and cost allocation for systems including plumbing, sanitary, drainage, water supply, and firefighting.
• Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to gather technical and commercial bids, and conduct comparative analyses.
• Identify areas for cost reduction and value engineering while ensuring adherence to relevant codes and standards.
• Support the tender submission process by preparing assumptions, exclusions, clarifications, and contributing to pre-bid and post-bid negotiations.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Have 5 to 10 years of professional experience specific to plumbing and firefighting cost estimation across commercial, residential, hospitality, or industrial sectors.
• Demonstrate in-depth understanding of plumbing and firefighting systems and familiarity with standards such as NFPA, NBC, and applicable local regulations.
• Show proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and estimation software, coupled with a strong capacity to interpret MEP drawings accurately.

Additional Information

The appointed engineer will be required to work onsite at either our Delhi or Bengaluru offices.
