Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled UK Payroll Administrator to be part of our expanding workforce. The successful candidate will bring in-depth understanding of UK payroll laws and take charge of accurately processing payrolls in compliance with regulations and deadlines.
Key Duties
- Administer weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls for the UK from initiation through to completion.
- Handle new hires, terminations, salary modifications, pension schemes, and statutory payments including SSP, SMP, SPP, and SAP.
- Submit Real Time Information (RTI) reports such as Full Payment Submission (FPS) and Employer Payment Summary (EPS) to HMRC punctually and correctly.
- Compute PAYE tax, National Insurance contributions, and pension deductions accurately.
- Generate and distribute payslips and detailed payroll reports.
- Address employee and client payroll inquiries promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain comprehensive payroll documentation ensuring compliance with GDPR standards.
- Reconcile payroll data and assist with month-end closing activities.
- Stay informed about current UK payroll regulations and HMRC updates.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrable prior experience managing UK payroll functions.
- Thorough knowledge of HMRC guidelines, PAYE systems, RTI requirements, and workplace pension provisions.
- Proficiency with payroll management software like BrightPay, Sage Payroll, or variants.
- Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational capabilities.
- Effective communication skills paired with strong problem-solving aptitude.
- Capability to operate autonomously and adhere to rigorous payroll deadlines.
Educational Qualification
The candidate must hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.
