About The Role
A Queensland government organization based in the Brisbane CBD is seeking an experienced A04 Payroll Officer for a temporary contract role. The position is initially until June 30, 2027, with potential for extension. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver accurate and timely payroll processing, acting as a specialist and providing expert advice to the organization.
- Oversee payroll staff, monitor their performance, and manage work and resource allocation for optimal efficiency.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality payroll services by implementing robust internal controls and maintaining compliance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, develop, and implement improvements to payroll processes.
- Provide prompt and effective communication and support to employees, management, clients, and external partners.
About You
You are a seasoned Payroll professional with a demonstrated history of reliability and success in previous roles. You possess strong skills in managing high-volume, end-to-end payroll processes and have experience within a government setting. Proficiency with payroll systems is essential.

This role is located in the Brisbane CBD and offers hybrid working flexibility. The contract is expected to run until June 30, 2027, with possible extensions.
