Role Overview

The position of Payroll Consultant is full-time and remote, with primary responsibility for handling the entire payroll process for client organizations. Key duties involve gathering and verifying employee details, computing wages including overtime, bonuses, and deductions, and ensuring payroll execution is punctual and accurate.

The consultant will interpret payroll policies, apply relevant tax laws and statutory regulations, generate payroll reports, and address inquiries from clients and employees concerning payroll matters. Collaboration with HR and finance teams will be required to support process enhancements, ensure compliance with labor laws, and assist in payroll system deployment or improvements.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of payroll operations such as salary computations, deductions, tax compliance, and statutory requirements.
• Experience with payroll or HR information systems and quick adaptability to new technologies.
• Strong skills in data analysis and reporting with meticulous attention to detail for handling confidential financial and employee data.
• Effective communication and client service abilities to clarify payroll issues and resolve concerns professionally.
• Capability to work independently in a remote environment, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines efficiently.
• Familiarity with Indian labor laws and payroll protocols; experience with multi-state or international payroll is a plus.
• A bachelor's degree in commerce, finance, business, human resources, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on payroll experience.
