Role overview
This permanent, full-time payroll position is based in Haverfordwest and offers a starting salary from £30,000, with room to negotiate higher pay for candidates bringing stronger experience. The role sits within a supportive finance team and focuses on ensuring a workforce of around 200 employees is paid correctly and on schedule through both weekly and monthly payroll runs.
It is well suited to someone who enjoys working with figures, keeping processes organised, and handling details accurately. The position gives you ownership of the payroll cycle from start to finish, with a strong emphasis on getting things right the first time and continuously improving how the work is done.
Key duties
- Run weekly and monthly payroll for roughly 200 staff members.
- Track employee timesheets and maintain payroll data.
- Chase any missing timesheets so payroll deadlines are met.
- Keep employee and payroll records accurate and up to date.
- Respond to payroll questions from colleagues and resolve issues promptly.
- Help with pension processing and payroll deductions.
- Support year-end payroll tasks and audit requirements.
- Work alongside the Finance Manager and the broader finance team.
- Keep payroll procedures compliant and current.
