McLean Farms is a family-owned agricultural business located in the Darling Downs region of Queensland, specializing in livestock and food production. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and trouble-shooting on MOBA egg grading machines and related equipment to ensure consistent functionality.
- Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks as outlined in the engineering maintenance plan with precise documentation.
- Address equipment breakdowns swiftly by diagnosing faults, repairing or replacing parts to minimize downtime.
- Investigate equipment failures to identify root causes and suggest enhancements or design changes to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Utilize the MEX Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for accurate work order tracking, record keeping, and parts management.
- Manage tools, spare parts, and materials to ensure readiness for both planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to align maintenance with production needs and reduce disruptions.
- Maintain compliance with engineering standards, workplace health and safety regulations, and company policies ensuring safe and quality operations.
- Coordinate with engineering and equipment suppliers for integration of upgrades or new machinery systems.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying ways to boost machinery performance and reduce operational costs.
- Keep workspaces, tools, and equipment safe, clean, and organized in accordance with WHS practices.
- Provide training and guidance to operators on equipment handling, safety, and maintenance reporting procedures.
Candidate Profile
- Possess an Advanced Diploma or Diploma in a relevant field; alternatively, have at least three years of applicable work experience.
- Minimum of one year’s relevant work experience following qualification completion.
- Demonstrated expertise with PLC programming and maintenance of complex machinery.
- Experience working with MOBA machinery is advantageous.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and team coordination.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and time management abilities.
- Comfortable with various computer software applications.
