Job description
Overview
FedEx Canada is seeking dedicated Package Handlers to join our warehouse operations team in Lethbridge, Alberta. This full-time role involves handling packages within the facility by loading, unloading, scanning, and sorting freight in a timely and efficient manner.
Job Responsibilities
- Efficiently load and unload freight shipments into and out of the warehouse.
- Accurately scan and sort freight to ensure proper distribution and tracking within the facility.
- Participate in scheduled shifts Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Saturday, working early morning hours from 5:15 am to 8:45 am.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Basic understanding of FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
- Ability to complete all mandatory initial and recurrent training successfully.
- Capability to lift weights up to 70 lbs and to maneuver packages weighing up to 150 lbs using proper equipment.
- Comfort operating in a PC Windows environment.
- For candidates residing in Quebec, bilingual proficiency in French and English is mandatory.
Additional Information
- This is a part-time permanent position (PPT) with early morning shifts.
- The role requires flexibility to work different shifts depending on business demands.
- Driver’s license and driving history assessments apply only to roles involving driving; this position does not require driving.
