Overview

Invasystems Digital is seeking a skilled Senior AVEVA PI Engineer to spearhead the architecture, implementation, and ongoing optimization of AVEVA PI Systems (previously OSIsoft PI). This role demands strong expertise in managing industrial data infrastructure with real-time systems experience across sectors such as manufacturing, energy, utilities, and particularly oil and gas.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy AVEVA PI solutions, including the PI Server, Asset Framework (AF), PI Vision, and related Interfaces.
• Guarantee system reliability, scalability, and robust security for the PI infrastructure.
• Manage full lifecycle PI projects from initial scoping through testing and deployment.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to pinpoint requirements and craft data-driven technical solutions.
• Integrate PI Systems with control environments like PLCs, DCS, and SCADA leveraging PI interfaces and connectors.
• Create and sustain AF structures, Event Frames, calculations, and visual dashboards with PI Vision.
• Ensure timely and precise data collection, aggregation, and visualization.
• Monitor operational performance to maintain system uptime and data accuracy.
• Perform in-depth troubleshooting, diagnostics, and root cause assessments.
• Contribute to initiatives around digital transformation and Industry 4.0 adoption.
• Maintain thorough system documentation, including standard operating procedures and compliance records.
• Adhere to company policies and standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent disciplines.
• At least 4 to 7 years of practical experience working with the AVEVA PI System.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, VBScript, and Python.
• Knowledgeable about industrial communication protocols including SQL, MQTT, OPC, Modbus, or similar.
• Possession of AVEVA (OSIsoft) PI certifications is highly valued.
• Experience with cloud-hosted PI deployments, particularly on platforms like Azure, is a plus.
• Experience with PI Integrators such as Integrator for Business Analytics or Cloud solutions.
