About the Role
The Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie, based in Herford, is seeking an Orchestra Attendant to support concerts domestically and internationally. This position is a fixed-term contract, ideally starting immediately and lasting at least until December 31, 2026. Compensation follows the TVöD pay scale, grade 5 plus allowances.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and dismantle seating, music stands, and musical instruments at the orchestra's venues.
- Transport instruments using a truck to rehearsal and concert locations.
- Prepare and arrange sheet music and scores for performances.
- Perform various tasks as required and instructed.
Work Schedule
Weekly working hours are aligned with the orchestra's rehearsal and concert schedule. Candidates must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Good physical condition and practical craftsmanship skills.
- Openness and willingness to adapt to the unique environment of an artistic establishment.
- Mobility with a valid driving license, class B required; class C/CE is a plus.
