Role Overview
The Operations Supervisor for 3PL, based in Mississauga, Ontario, is a full-time, onsite position responsible for overseeing the daily functioning of third-party logistics operations. This includes managing inbound and outbound logistics, inventory control, and ensuring service level agreements are met. The supervisor directs and supports the operations team by assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and enforcing compliance with company policies, safety standards, and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily 3PL operations covering inbound and outbound processes.
- Assign workloads and guide the operations team to maintain efficiency and compliance.
- Monitor operational performance and ensure adherence to safety and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to resolve issues and enhance workflows.
- Analyze operational data and reports to identify trends, improve productivity, and inform strategic decisions.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience in team supervision, coaching, and performance management.
- Solid background in operations and operations management within 3PL or supply chain settings.
- Proficient analytical skills to interpret data and recommend process improvements.
- Effective communication skills for engaging with team members, clients, and cross-functional teams.
- Preferred experience or qualifications in logistics, warehousing, distribution, and use of WMS/TMS systems.
- Post-secondary degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, or related disciplines, or equivalent practical experience.
- Awareness of health and safety regulations relevant to fast-paced operational environments.
