As we grow, we seek a skilled and motivated Operations Manager to enhance and oversee our daily business functions.
The Role
The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing all operations related to supply chain, logistics, inventory, system management, and cross-department coordination. This position requires a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in the furniture sector, familiar with manufacturing lead times, freight handling, inventory risk, and ensuring an outstanding customer delivery experience. You will collaborate closely with the company's founders to optimize margins, boost operational efficiency, and facilitate sustainable expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise third-party logistics providers, white-glove delivery teams, and last-mile delivery performance to enhance fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Minimize delivery complications, product damages, and delays to uphold a premium customer experience.
- Handle purchase order placements, manage complex lead times, and respond promptly to urgent supply chain needs, effectively coordinating with numerous overseas suppliers through strong communication skills to resolve operational challenges.
- Lead the setup of a new warehouse location on the West Coast managed through a 3PL partner.
- Oversee international supply chain operations including overseas manufacturers, freight logistics, inbound shipments, and domestic distribution.
- Manage inventory control, demand forecasting, and maintain SKU stock health.
- Enhance lead times, improve visibility of landed costs, and increase overall operational efficiency.
- Take ownership of NetSuite systems to ensure precise inventory tracking, cost control, purchasing, and reporting.
- Collaborate with finance, customer experience, and e-commerce teams to align systems with operational realities.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures, dashboards, and regular operating rhythms that support scalable growth.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4-5 years experience in operations within furniture or home furnishings industries.
- Experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems required; proficiency in NetSuite preferred.
- Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., Claude) is an advantage.
- Comprehensive understanding of furniture manufacturing processes, logistics, and large-item fulfillment.
- Demonstrated ability to grow operations effectively in high-growth direct-to-consumer or omnichannel businesses.
- Strong skills in analysis, organization, and problem-solving.
Compensation and Benefits
