Role Overview

We are seeking a Remote Operations Manager based in South Africa to oversee daily operations of our business. This full-time position requires working UK hours from 9am to 5pm and reporting directly to the director. The ideal candidate will manage teams, ensure smooth operational flow, and develop effective systems and processes that support our growth. This role goes beyond coordination, involving leadership and continuous operational improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee business operations to maintain high standards and smooth daily activities.
• Coordinate housekeeping and maintenance by scheduling turnovers, managing cleaners and contractors, ensuring all properties are prepared for guests.
• Lead and manage the existing team by setting clear goals and ensuring consistent achievement.
• Develop systems, workflows, and tools to increase business efficiency as it expands.
• Monitor performance metrics, identify areas for enhancement, and implement improvements.
• Collaborate with leadership on broader strategic initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Essential previous experience with short-term rental management companies.
• Demonstrated capabilities in operations and people management, preferably handling multiple properties, clients, or projects simultaneously.
• Practical experience in coordinating housekeeping and maintenance across a portfolio of properties.
• Proven ability to create and refine systems and processes rather than just adhere to existing ones.
• Familiarity with property management software, scheduling tools, and basic analysis of performance and occupancy data.
• Excellent communication skills and competence in leading a remote team.
• Strong problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and good judgment under deadline pressure.
• Reliable home office setup and availability to work UK hours (9am to 5pm).

Compensation

The monthly salary ranges from £1,200 to £1,500, based on experience, paid in GBP.
