Job description

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Officer to ensure the efficient operation of the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) and related water treatment systems at our Krishnapatnam facility in Andhra Pradesh. The role includes managing chemical consumption, maintaining stock records, and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and oversee the ETP plant processes including preliminary (oil removal, pH correction), primary (chemical and physical treatment), and secondary treatment (biological treatment and secondary clarifier).
  • Manage Waste Water Recycling Plant (WWRP) operations including pretreatment, Multi-grade Filter (MGF), Activated Carbon Filter (ACF), Ultrafiltration (UF), Reverse Osmosis (RO), and Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) processes.
  • Monitor and maintain chemical consumption and inventory records accurately.
  • Perform regular backwashing of MGF, ACF, and UF systems.
  • Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in the ETP area.
  • Administer chemical dosing for ETP, UF, and RO based on water analysis reports.
  • Ensure stringent adherence to workplace safety protocols and perform daily pre-shift risk assessments and toolbox talks with the team.
  • Compile and maintain daily records including effluent generation, treatment, water recovery, and RO reject data.
  • Document maintenance activities related to ETP operations.
  • Manage solid waste produced from ETP processes including its proper removal and handling.
  • Conduct inlet and outlet parameter analysis of effluent to ensure compliance with applicable standards.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • In-depth understanding of ETP, Water Treatment Plant (WTP), Multiple Effect Evaporator (MEE) plants, and compliance with Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) norms.
  • Expertise in RO plant operating procedures, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and familiarity with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) or Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) knowledge.

Educational Qualifications & Experience

  • ITI or Diploma certification in relevant fields.
  • A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in ETP/WWRP operations or related industrial water treatment plants.
