OCC Specialist

About the Role

Join the world-renowned DHL Global Forwarding team in Bahrain as an OCC Specialist. This role involves managing air, ocean, and road freight operations by implementing pricing strategies, responding to inquiries, and ensuring shipment documentation is accurate and on time. You will play a vital part in connecting people worldwide and contributing to efficient logistics processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement plans to execute the OFR pricing strategy effectively.
• Handle pricing inquiries promptly and competitively.
• Monitor and update local tariffs accurately and on schedule.
• Develop RFQs, especially prioritizing critical requests with detailed guidance and launch calls as needed.
• Manage daily shipment documentation and assist with tender developments and submissions.
• Create and maintain databases to expedite responses to network queries.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and airline partners.
• Prepare performance reports related to carriers and conduct reviews.
• Identify ways to improve services and processes for cost-effective pricing while negotiating competitive airline rates aligned with service and transit time requirements.
• Keep updated with new solutions, service developments, and market trends.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced team members.
• Analyze and resolve daily delivery issues, implementing improved OFR pricing practices to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• More than 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in freight forwarding or logistics operations.
