Role Overview
We are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer specialized in Nutanix AHV technology to guide on-premise environments through cloud migration initiatives and support hybrid cloud operations. This role demands expertise in managing Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) platforms, executing migration strategies, and delivering robust disaster recovery solutions.
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee the transition of server workloads from on-premises to cloud environments using lift-and-shift and parallel build approaches.
- Manage Nutanix AHV and HCI systems, including administration of Prism Element, Prism Central, and Nutanix Self Service portals.
- Design and implement resilient disaster recovery processes that meet specified Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO).
- Perform capacity planning, develop scripts, and establish standardized automation to streamline migration and operational tasks within Nutanix infrastructures.
- Support and sustain hybrid cloud environments utilizing ITIL-based change and incident management frameworks.
Requirements and Expertise
- Demonstrated experience managing Nutanix AHV platforms and hyperconverged infrastructure.
- Hands-on knowledge of Nutanix Cloud Platform products and tools.
- Proficiency in cloud migration techniques including lift-and-shift and parallel build methodologies.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices for maintaining stable hybrid cloud operations.
- Skills in scripting and automating infrastructure tasks.
