Night Porter

Role overview

Dalata Hotel Group is looking for a Night Porter to support late-shift hotel operations in Belfast. The role offers training through Dalata Academy, guidance from experienced colleagues, and the chance to develop within a company that strongly values internal progression.

Key duties

• Handle guest check-ins and check-outs when needed, and assist guests with luggage and porterage requests.
• Keep hotel spaces clean and presentable, including the lobby, back office, stairways, restaurant floor, bar floor, public areas, staff areas, and meeting room floors.
• Carry out additional cleaning tasks as directed by the manager on duty and follow the nightly checklist, which may include preparing function rooms and the breakfast area.
• Maintain the front entrance and the exterior of the hotel so that they remain clean and orderly at all times, including emptying bins and removing litter.
• Understand and follow the hotel’s fire procedures to help protect staff and guests.
• Set up meeting rooms as required.

What you need

• Previous experience dealing with customers.
• Confident spoken English.
• Good planning and organisation skills.
• The ability to stay effective in a busy working environment.
• A collaborative approach and willingness to work well with others.
