.Net Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

About the Role

We are actively looking for an experienced .NET Software Development Engineer in Test to join our team in Hyderabad. The role involves developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks primarily using .NET technologies, focusing on API and functional automation testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement automation tests for web applications, APIs, and enterprise systems.
• Create and document automation strategies, test frameworks, and enforce quality standards.
• Prepare detailed automation test plans, coordinate with stakeholders for validation.
• Develop, maintain, and execute reusable automated testing scripts.
• Oversee regression testing during product releases and updates.
• Track and manage defects through their lifecycle, analyze results for actionable insights.
• Handle issues in automation such as object recognition, synchronization, and error management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers and product owners to ensure quality outputs.
• Participate in code reviews promoting coding best practices and quality assurance processes.
• Support continuous integration and deployment workflows.
• Engage with customers to address issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Contribute to testing performance, scalability, reliability, and other non-functional areas.
• Continuously improve automation frameworks, methodologies, and processes.
• Ensure compliance with quality policies, release deadlines, and governance.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• More than 5 years in software testing and quality assurance with a strong emphasis on automation.
• At least 3 years experience working with Microsoft technologies.
• Proficient with tools like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or comparable automation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with API testing using tools such as REST Assured, Postman, or Swagger.
• Skilled in building scalable testing frameworks and reusable test suites.
• Programming competence in Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools including JIRA, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or ALM.
• Ability to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines via Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Understanding of performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling) is advantageous.
• Experience testing microservices, cloud platforms, distributed systems, and complex enterprise applications.
• Proficient in SQL and database validation methods.
• Strong analytic, debugging, and communication capabilities.
