About the Role
Join Henkel's Consumer business in New Zealand as a National Account Executive playing a vital role in shaping the future of trusted brands. You will assist National Account Managers in driving sales growth, profitability, and executing strategic plans across major retail channels such as Woolworths, The Warehouse, and Pharmacy outlets.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist National Account Managers in creating and implementing short and long-term account strategies aimed at boosting sales, distribution, profitability, and key performance indicators.
- Organize promotional activities by managing the IIS system, analyzing their effectiveness, and finding ways to improve future promotions.
- Handle trade spend administration including invoice processing, budget monitoring, and supporting monthly financial accruals.
- Develop accurate sales forecasts, contribute to demand reviews, category analyses, new product launches, and prepare customer presentations.
- Examine category and market data to generate actionable insights and recommendations that aid customer growth and commercial decisions.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal departments, retail partners, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful customer initiatives.
- Take responsibility for specific regional accounts, coordinate in-store activities, manage customer communication, and handle account-related administrative tasks.
- Ensure all activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards to meet business objectives.
Candidate Profile
- At least 3 years of sales experience within the FMCG sector.
- Prior experience in account management or field sales is advantageous.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications are preferred.
- Strong analytical capabilities with keen attention to detail and effective presentation of insights.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills capable of influencing stakeholders and supporting commercial strategies.
- A proactive, results-oriented team player who collaborates effectively.
