Job description
Role Overview
As a Mobile Caretaker working 35 hours per week, you will serve as a key contact for customers onsite while effectively managing their expectations. Your presence in our neighborhoods will foster positive relationships and uphold Great Places' reputation. You will be integral to a flexible mobile team responsible for overseeing our customers' accommodations and supporting the smooth operation of our communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and upkeep across estates, blocks, and schemes.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including hoovering, sweeping, mopping, cleaning communal entry doors and glazed areas, dusting various surfaces, litter picking, and ensuring all spaces remain tidy and litter-free.
- Conduct Health & Safety inspections to confirm communal areas are devoid of combustible materials and slip or trip hazards, including testing emergency lighting, fire alarms, legionella, and promptly reporting concerns to Compliance.
- Carry out minor repairs and preventative maintenance in communal spaces such as replacing light bulbs, fixing door handles, weed removal, jet washing, painting touch-ups, moss and graffiti removal, and adjusting lighting timers.
Required Qualifications and Abilities
- Possession of a full UK driving licence.
- Previous experience in a similar caretaker role with proficiency in general handywork tasks.
- Comfortable using IT systems and personal digital assistants (PDAs).
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Efficient time management and ability to meet deadlines.
- A proactive, positive attitude with flexibility in work hours.
- A strong awareness of site Health and Safety practices to protect self and others.
