Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce Technical Consultant

Position Overview

Opportunity to join a leading Indian IT and consulting firm as a Technical Consultant specializing in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce. This platform provides an integrated omnichannel retail system based on the Finance and Operations architecture, including components like Commerce Scale Unit, React-based point-of-sale applications, and a modular e-commerce platform powered by extensibility APIs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and tailor MPOS/CPOS solutions built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce to fulfill specific business needs.
• Offer robust production support for POS systems servicing various retail store locations.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to payment processing, POS functionality, software deployment, and application performance.
• Work closely with retail operations teams, business stakeholders, and technical units to address and manage live incident situations.
• Manage POS deployments, upgrades, rollouts, and software releases systematically.
• Utilize hands-on expertise with Retail Server and Hardware Station components for smooth operations.
• Develop integrations with payment gateways, third-party applications, and enterprise systems ensuring seamless functionality.
• Engage actively in Agile/Scrum teams, including sprint planning, testing, code review, and overseeing release cycles.
• Ensure POS environment stability, availability, and optimal performance with continuous monitoring.
• Perform root cause analyses and implement effective solutions to improve the POS software continuously.
• Maintain adherence to coding standards, security protocols, and best practices for deployments.
• Document technical processes, prepare deployment guidelines, and create knowledge base materials for ongoing support.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum five years of experience developing MPOS/ePOS solutions.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce, including MPOS and CPOS.
• Expertise in Commerce Runtime (CRT) and experience with Retail SDK and its extensibility features.
• Strong programming capabilities in X++, C#, and TypeScript.
• Prior experience supporting live retail POS environments and integrating payment and third-party systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex POS and hardware station issues effectively.
• Educational qualification: Any graduate degree.
