Manual Tester

Overview

We are in search of a meticulous Manual Tester to ensure application quality throughout the software development cycle. This position is essential for confirming that functional requirements are met, maintaining system reliability, and facilitating seamless business integration through structured testing and teamwork with various departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and refine manual test cases and related test materials based on functional specs, business needs, and user stories.
• Keep the Requirement Traceability Matrix current to guarantee comprehensive testing and alignment with requirements.
• Develop and handle test data by employing SQL queries and related tools.
• Conduct manual testing during functional, system, and regression phases.
• Review testing outcomes to pinpoint defects, evaluate their effect on business, and suggest corrective measures.
• Document, follow up, and control defects through test management and bug tracking systems.
• Deliver daily structured reports on test progress, risks, and encountered issues.
• Collaborate closely with Business Analysts and Developers to clarify requirements and efficiently address defects.
• Assist business users during User Acceptance Testing, offering support, coordination, and defect management.
• Engage in ongoing enhancement of testing procedures, templates, and documentation.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline.
• Minimum one year experience in manual software testing or quality assurance.
• Practical knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools like JIRA, TestRail, or similar.
• Basic proficiency in SQL for preparing and validating test data.
• Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication abilities suitable for coordinating between technical and business groups.
• Familiarity with Agile or SDLC testing frameworks is beneficial.
