Position Overview

The Manager of Education and Public Programming plays a vital role in designing, developing, executing, and assessing educational initiatives and events aligned with the organization's mission. Reporting to the Director of Education, this position ensures that programs engage students, teachers, the public, partners, donors, and the community effectively.

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage educational programs with a focus on history, civics, and related disciplines reflecting current classroom learning trends.
  • Engage in national discussions regarding K-12 classroom learning and informal education as a representative of the Adams Presidential Center.

  • Organize and coordinate schedules, facilitators, speakers, and logistical needs for educational programs.

  • Coordinate logistics for various events such as workshops, seminars, fundraisers, conferences, and outreach initiatives.
  • Manage event budgets, contracts, and procurement procedures effectively.
  • Work closely with communications colleagues to promote and market events.
  • Lead event day operations and oversee volunteer coordination.
  • Measure program outcomes and produce detailed impact reports.

Qualifications
