Role overview

Fred Loya Insurance Agency is hiring for a Mail Room position in El Paso, TX. This full-time onsite role focuses on handling incoming and outgoing mail, supporting shipping activities, and keeping mailroom operations organized and accurate.

Key duties

• Accept incoming mail and parcels, then sort, scan, and route them to the right destinations.
• Prepare outbound mail and shipments, including postage handling and coordination with carriers.
• Keep accurate logs and records of mail movement, package tracking, and shipping activity.
• Use mailroom machines and equipment, and resolve basic operational issues when they arise.
• Monitor shipment status and delivery progress.
• Assist mail carriers, delivery staff, and internal team members with requests and day-to-day support.
• Carry out routine clerical work such as typing, filing, and completing forms.
• Comply with company procedures and mail handling regulations, and take on other assigned tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Strong skills in organizing work, managing multiple tasks, and handling time effectively.
• High attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
• Comfort with basic computer use and clerical tasks.
• Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Prior familiarity with mailroom or shipping processes is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required; applicants must be 21 years or older because of company policy.
• Ability to stay productive and work well under pressure.
