Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned AI/Extraction Engineer to join Allocate’s team. This role involves establishing the foundational technology for our company’s future growth by leveraging a wide range of engineering skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance machine learning models intended for production environments.
- Create evaluation and feedback mechanisms that continuously boost model accuracy and effectiveness.
- Implement tools to monitor and assess model performance rigorously.
- Research, assess, and integrate cutting-edge machine learning models and methodologies into production workflows.
- Collaborate across teams to deliver ML-driven features and solutions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of four years’ experience applying machine learning and large language model engineering in production settings, with strong proficiency in Python.
- Proven track record of transitioning ML models from experimental prototypes to dependable production systems.
- Expertise in fine-tuning models and performing rigorous evaluation cycles.
- Fluency with Git and other version control tools.
- Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, or Cursor, with the ability to adapt to emerging technologies.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with applied natural language processing, computer vision, or multimodal ML models.
- Knowledge of MLOps practices and model monitoring infrastructure.
- Background working with fintech or financial datasets.
Education
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience is required.

Additional Information
- Work is entirely remote; all candidates eligible for I-9 verification will be considered.
- This is a full-time, senior-level position.
- Compensation ranges from $165,000 to $185,000 annually, dependent on location, expertise, qualifications, interview outcomes, internal equity, and market standards. The range refers to base salary only, excluding bonuses, equity, and benefits.
- Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) plan, and flexible paid time off.
- Occasional travel for team gatherings and department offsites may be necessary. Participation in an in-person interview could be required during hiring. Reliable broadband internet is mandatory.
