The selected professional will be based in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and will support cross-border logistics activity linked to copper and sulphur movements.
Key responsibilities

- Manage current volumes of more than 30,000 MT each month across 8 logistics service providers, with expectations that this will increase to twice the current level by year-end.
- Prepare uplift plans across logistics service providers, share the plan with internal teams and customers, and provide daily progress tracking and reporting.
- Spot any expected shortfalls early and communicate them along with practical corrective actions.
- Coordinate with mines to secure loading schedules and obtain the required document releases.
- Ensure warehouse planning remains aligned with rail/training schedules and transport plans.
Experience and qualifications
A tertiary qualification is required, along with at least 5 years of experience in commodities trading or a comparable fast-moving commercial environment. Exposure to multimodal transport, including road and rail, is needed, together with familiarity with in-transit warehouse operations. A solid background in logistics operations is also expected.
Competencies

- Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Clear communication and strong stakeholder management capabilities.
- Comfort working under pressure and meeting demanding deadlines.
- Commercial awareness with a mindset geared toward cost optimization.
