Role Overview

The Light Duty Cleaner is responsible for various cleaning assignments such as maintaining hard floors, vacuuming carpeted areas, dusting, cleaning restrooms and kitchenettes, and managing garbage and recycling collection.

Primary Responsibilities

• Foster an inclusive and innovative work culture that encourages productivity and collaboration.

• Engage in all mandatory training programs.
• Strictly follow company health and safety policies.
• Sweep, dry mop, wash, and buff floors and stairwells using both manual and powered equipment.
• Vacuum carpets and mats in offices and common spaces; perform daily spot cleaning and shampoo rugs as directed.
• Perform preventative maintenance on cleaning machines like floor machines, vacuums, automatic scrubbers, and buffers.
• Empty garbage and recycling containers, replace liners, and carry waste to designated collection areas.
• Clean and disinfect washrooms and kitchens/kitchenettes, including fixtures, appliances, door handles, walls, mirrors, countertops, partitions, waste bins, and floors.
• Restock consumable supplies such as toilet paper, hand towels, soap, and sanitizer.
• Spot clean walls, doors, kick plates, and other vertical surfaces to remove marks and smudges.
• Clean elevators where applicable.
• Monitor and report defects including clogged urinals and non-functioning lights.
• Perform high dusting and wall washing as needed.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned at the worksite.

Candidate Requirements

• Capability to follow instructions, work independently with minimal supervision, and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Strong attention to detail, commitment to delivering quality service, excellent organizational skills, and high energy with endurance.
• Experience utilizing cleaning tools and machinery; proficiency with automatic scrubbers is beneficial.
• Dependability with reliable transportation is essential.
• Ability to successfully pass a Federal Record Check.
