Role Summary

We seek a kitchen porter to assist all kitchen operations ensuring cleanliness and efficient service standards. You will follow directions closely and perform tasks promptly, supporting chefs and kitchen staff as needed. This role offers opportunities to advance and develop hospitality skills within our growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of the kitchen including sweeping and mopping floors.
• Manage kitchen waste by disposing of refuse correctly.
• Complete weekly cleaning duties as scheduled.
• Wash dishes, cutlery, pots, pans, and boards manually and via dishwasher.
• Operate loading and unloading of dishwashing equipment.
• Clean cooking appliances such as cookers and food mixers.
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks including washing, peeling, and cutting ingredients.
• Provide support to all kitchen team members as required.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong time management capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Level 1 Food Safety qualification (training supplied).
• Knowledge of manual handling and COSHH regulations (training provided).
• Keen desire for continual learning and skill improvement.
• Passion for hospitality and striving to create excellent guest experiences.
• Attention to detail along with proficient written and verbal communication.
• Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
• Integrity and a strong ethical stance.
• Proactive problem-solving and calmness in challenging situations.
