Key Account Manager - Retail

We are looking for a Retail Key Account Manager to serve as a trusted partner for one of our largest national retail clients, based in Oakville, ON (GTA). This is an on-site, full-time position offering a chance to directly impact and shape a major customer relationship.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and nurture strong relationships with retail buyers and purchasing teams.
• Ensure consistent delivery of excellent customer service with thorough execution and follow-up.
• Leverage sales, Point-of-Sale (POS), and inventory data to identify market trends, risks, and expansion opportunities.
• Track inventory levels, sell-through metrics, and competitor activities to discover potential growth avenues.
• Prepare and present detailed line reviews, customer presentations, business evaluations, and product samples.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Merchandising, Operations, and Leadership to align customer requirements with company objectives.
• Conduct retail store visits to assess merchandising quality, pricing strategies, product placements, and competitive positioning.

Requirements

• 4 to 6 years of direct experience managing or supporting significant retail accounts such as Costco, Walmart, or Shoppers Drug Mart.
• Strong analytical aptitude with expert-level skills in Excel and practical experience analyzing POS and inventory data.
• Exceptional communication skills, organized approach, and reliable follow-through.
• Proven experience creating and delivering customer-focused presentations and business reviews.
• Familiarity with retailer reporting platforms like Walmart Retail Link/Luminate or Costco systems is advantageous.
• Background in apparel or consumer goods sectors preferred.
• Comfortable liaising with senior leadership and independently leading meetings with customers as necessary.

Additional Information

Compensation: Salary range is $80,000 to $90,000 annually, with eligibility for performance-based bonuses. Final salary will reflect the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications.
