Overview
The HEAT Group is looking for a Junior Social Media Content Creator responsible for developing, producing, and publishing engaging content across Miami HEAT's auxiliary social media accounts including Jr. HEAT, Miami HEAT Dancers, and Miami HEAT Store. This role supports the expansion of the Miami HEAT brand presence beyond the basketball court by reaching audiences worldwide through platforms like Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok, and others.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, create, and post original content for Miami HEAT's secondary social media platforms.
- Provide event coverage for community activities, Kaseya Center functions, and Miami HEAT Dancers’ appearances as directed.
- Maintain regular communication with the Senior Social Operations Manager on priorities, scheduling, and direction.
- Track daily trends, social conversations, and engagement metrics related to auxiliary accounts, identifying new opportunities and directing customer service matters appropriately.
- Work collaboratively with the wider social media team to ensure alignment with brand tone and strategic goals.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the Senior Social Operations Manager.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven familiarity and proficiency with Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok, and other social media networks.
- Experience capturing and editing visual content on mobile devices.
- Deep understanding of popular culture, current happenings, and internet trends.
- Creative ability to adapt quickly to social media landscapes and events.
- Strong writing, creativity, and analytical skills.
- Self-driven with meticulous attention to detail and excellent organizational talents.
- Effective at managing multiple priorities professionally and independently.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and relationship-building capabilities.
- A comfort level with receiving input and contributing original ideas.
- Availability to work during evenings, weekends, and holidays for event coverage.
- Photography and basic editing skills using tools such as Adobe Photoshop or CapCut are advantageous.
