Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Financial Analyst to join our finance team at an entry-level capacity. This full-time role is designed for recently graduated individuals or those early in their finance careers who wish to enhance their capabilities in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and business performance reporting while aiding strategic business decisions.

Key Duties

  • Contribute to the creation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and management reports.
  • Analyze financial data to detect trends and provide actionable insights to guide business decision-making.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning and analysis activities.
  • Develop financial models, perform variance analysis, and generate profitability reports.
  • Monitor critical financial KPIs and identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Support cost and revenue analysis along with evaluations of operational performance.
  • Ensure reconciliation and accuracy of financial data and reports.
  • Conduct research on market conditions, competitors, and industry trends to aid financial planning.
  • Collaborate with accounting, operations, and business units to gather and verify financial information.
  • Assist with audit processes and uphold compliance with internal finance policies.
  • Maintain financial databases, spreadsheets, and documentation related to reporting.
  • Keep updated on evolving financial regulations, accounting standards, and market developments.

Candidate Profile

  • Basic knowledge of financial statements, accounting principles, and analytical techniques.
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Excel, including use of PivotTables, formulas, charts, and data analysis features.
  • Exceptional analytical, numerical reasoning, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • High attention to detail and precision in financial documentation.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Foundational understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis considered beneficial.
  • Familiarity with ERP software (such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) or business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is advantageous.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team within a dynamic setting.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.
  • Preferably holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or closely related fields; progress towards professional certifications such as CFA Level I, ACCA, or CPA is a plus.
