Junior Criminal Analyst

Role overview

Dynamis, Inc. is hiring a Junior Criminal Analyst for a high-impact assignment supporting Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) worksite enforcement efforts in Tampa, Florida. In this role, you will work closely with HSI special agents to review employment eligibility records, business documents, and government data sources that help uncover compliance issues tied to worksite enforcement investigations. The position is fast-moving, highly detail-oriented, and directly contributes to enforcement actions such as Notices of Inspection and Notices of Intent to Fine.

Key duties

• Review employer Form I-9 records, payroll information, corporate filings, and related employment documentation to identify possible gaps in compliance and violations of federal immigration employment laws.
• Search and compare information across law enforcement and commercial databases to uncover patterns, inconsistencies, and leads that support active investigations.
• Prepare accurate case summaries, analytical write-ups, and findings that can stand up to review and directly assist worksite enforcement actions.
• Support coordination efforts that link domestic and international investigative programs, initiatives, and partner organizations.
• Keep case files organized and current while following DHS/ICE privacy and data-handling requirements.
• Create briefing packets and other analytical materials for site visits, enforcement activity, and senior leadership discussions.

Required background

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, business administration, public administration, law, or a closely related field. The role calls for 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in compliance, investigations, legal support, immigration services, or a similar area. Strong analytical and research capability is essential, along with the ability to review and summarize large amounts of data and documentation.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed for producing analytical outputs and coordinating with federal law enforcement staff. Candidates should also be comfortable handling high-volume data entry from paper records into electronic systems and running database queries in law enforcement and commercial platforms. The selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain an ICE suitability determination and must be a U.S. citizen.

Preferred experience

Experience with federal law enforcement or regulatory agencies is a strong advantage. Familiarity with employment eligibility verification processes, including Form I-9 compliance and E-Verify, is also highly desirable. Prior exposure to HSI, ICE, or other DHS operations, as well as experience working with sensitive or law enforcement-controlled information, is preferred. Knowledge of government database systems or investigative case management tools is a plus.
