About Alpine Business Consulting
Alpine Business Consulting specializes in repairing enterprise performance management and reporting systems. Many companies invest heavily in planning tools but face issues as implementations often skip important steps, resulting in unreliable data and mistrusted reports. Our mission is to restore a dependable, unified data source that functions effectively. We work with tools such as Oracle EPM, SAP BPC, and various modern analytics technologies, focusing on data quality rather than specific software brands. The team operates fully remotely and emphasizes clear communication and skill-based recruitment.
Role Overview
We are assisting a major logistics client in restructuring their internal data pipelines and reporting architecture. Logistics data is usually scattered across older systems, complicating the visibility of actual shipping and warehouse costs. As a Junior Analytics Analyst, you will support senior consultants by helping reconcile data discrepancies and validating reports. Responsibilities include maintaining documentation and ensuring dashboard figures match the source logistics data. The position is permanent, full-time, and fully remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze disorganized logistics datasets to detect issues and missing information.
- Support the setup of new reporting dashboards and financial models.
- Produce straightforward documentation explaining data flow processes.
- Perform testing to verify accuracy and stability of month-end reports.
- Assist senior consultants with preparation of client training resources.
- Monitor and address data quality alerts before users are impacted.
- Help maintain a meticulously audited data environment with traceable figures.
- Participate in sharing knowledge about frequent implementation errors within the team.
Candidate Requirements
- Basic knowledge of data structures and database organization.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel including basic formulas and data formatting.
- Ability to create clear and simple technical documentation in plain English.
- Inquisitive mindset, eager to investigate data inconsistencies.
- Interest in learning about enterprise performance management systems.
- High attention to detail when reviewing extensive logistics records.
- Effective communication skills fit for a fully remote workplace.
- Dedication to thorough project completion including comprehensive manual writing.
Benefits and Work Environment
This is a compensated role offering a competitive wage suitable for entry-level consultants. Unlike larger organizations, Alpine provides extensive mentorship rather than unsupervised junior assignments. You will gain unique exposure to system construction from scratch and learn common enterprise project pitfalls. We prioritize quality and documentation over billable hours and flourish in a stable, remote work setting without office distractions.
Company Approach
Our principle is to empower clients to manage their systems independently post-engagement by delivering exceptional documentation. We emphasize fixed pricing and realistic deadlines and value honesty and pragmatism over hype. Our focus on clean data and dependable reporting has established our reputation for fixing projects abandoned by others, and you will be trained to uphold these standards.
