Role Overview
This opening is for a Java Technical Lead based in Doha, Qatar. The position focuses on leading backend engineering work with an emphasis on modern Java, microservices, and API development.
Core Technical Stack
The role calls for hands-on expertise with Agile delivery, web services, Java, Spring Boot, and microservices-based architecture.
Additional Technical Expectations
- Strong production experience in backend engineering, especially with Java 8/11 and Spring Boot.
- Practical experience building and shipping REST APIs in production environments.
- Capability to work with frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django for backend API deployment.
- Solid understanding of REST API design, including HTTP methods, request and response structures, and security considerations.
- Experience integrating AI models into backend systems and supporting model inference workflows.
- Exposure to AI application development using LLM tooling such as Langchain or Langgraph.
- Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB, including schema design and query tuning.
- Experience deploying backend applications on cloud services such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD delivery pipelines.
- Azure fundamentals are mentioned as part of the desired capability set.
