Position Details

• Full-time position during evening hours
• Workdays: Monday through Friday
• Compensation: $12 per hour, paid on a weekly basis

Role Summary

The Janitor is entrusted with maintaining cleanliness and safeguarding the condition of assigned indoor areas within one or multiple client locations. Duties are varied and must be adapted based on client specifications, requiring flexibility and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and preserve all floor surfaces by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
• Utilize chemical cleaners and power equipment properly to prevent damage
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, meeting rooms, hallways, and entry points
• Dispose of trash appropriately including use of compactors when necessary
• Clean windows, glass dividers, and mirrors with suitable cleaning agents
• Perform spot cleaning on carpets and assist with carpet extraction and shampooing
• Restock paper and sanitary supplies as needed
• Adhere to an established housekeeping schedule
• Use heavy-duty cleaning tools like floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers when assigned
• Carry out additional tasks as designated by work scope or customer requirements

Candidate Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or at least 6 months of janitorial experience
• Willingness to undergo on-the-job training
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions carefully

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience in janitorial or cleaning roles
• Knowledge of standard custodial practices and commercial cleaning procedures
• Familiar with floor care techniques, including buffing and waxing
• Experience in industrial cleaning or facility maintenance is advantageous
