Role overview

Allied Universal is seeking a Janitor in Fountain Inn, South Carolina for full-time on-site work. The role is centered on general cleaning and upkeep across one assigned facility or several client locations. The cleaning scope may vary by client needs, so flexibility in day-to-day tasks is important.

The position offers a pay rate of $14.50 per hour, with morning and overnight shifts available. Pay is issued weekly.

What the job involves

• Keeping floors in good condition through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming
• Using chemical cleaning products and powered cleaning tools safely to avoid damaging surfaces or fixtures
• Cleaning and maintaining restrooms, conference rooms, hallways, and entry spaces
• Removing waste from bins and using a compactor when needed for specific materials
• Washing windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors with suitable products and equipment
• Spot-treating carpets and supporting carpet extraction and shampooing work
• Restocking tissues, paper goods, and other hygiene supplies
• Working according to the assigned housekeeping schedule
• Using heavier cleaning equipment when required, such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers
• Handling other related duties based on the work scope or customer requirements

Qualifications

Applicants should either have a high school diploma or equivalent, or at least six months of experience in a janitorial role. Training will be provided on the job. The position calls for strong attention to detail and the ability to follow directions well.

Preferred background

Experience in cleaning or custodial work is preferred. Familiarity with commercial cleaning standards, floor care methods such as buffing and waxing, and experience in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance would be an advantage.
