Overview
We are looking for a service-oriented IT Support Technician who can handle day-to-day technical support for hardware, software, network, and system issues. The position focuses on keeping business technology running smoothly by resolving incidents quickly, maintaining equipment, and helping employees across the organization.
What You’ll Do
- Act as the first point of contact for technical issues involving hardware, software, networks, and systems.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and close IT incidents in a timely and professional way.
- Set up, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and related IT assets.
- Support operating systems, business applications, email platforms, and collaboration tools.
- Administer user accounts, passwords, access rights, and system settings.
- Monitor IT infrastructure, networks, and connected devices to keep services stable.
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT personnel or outside vendors when needed.
- Assist with software rollouts, system upgrades, and hardware installations.
- Keep accurate documentation of support tickets, resolutions, and equipment inventory.
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding through device preparation and account setup.
- Guide users on safe and effective technology practices, including security awareness and proper system use.
- Follow company IT policies, security standards, and data protection rules.
Requirements
- Previous exposure to IT support, help desk, technical support, or a similar role is preferred.
- Working knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, networking basics, and troubleshooting methods.
- Familiarity with Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and common workplace software.
- Understanding of core networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi‑Fi, and VPN access.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Clear communication skills and a strong customer-service mindset.
- Ability to handle several support requests at once and prioritize effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality service.
- Certifications like CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft certifications, or similar are a plus.
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
