IT Support Engineer Windows (all genders)

Position Overview

We are seeking an IT Support Engineer specialized in Windows platforms, fluent in German, to join our team and support the operation of an enterprise IT infrastructure within an international environment. The client is a global engineering and technology company delivering software and digital solutions for complex, large-scale systems. Core areas include embedded development, cloud technologies, AI-enhanced solutions, and digital engineering across various industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage first-level IT support tickets relating to hardware and software, ensuring effective resolution and documentation.
• Support operational management of Windows client environments.
• Diagnose and resolve issues on Windows client machines, conducting root-cause analyses where necessary.
• Install and distribute software on end-user devices.
• Investigate errors during software installations and develop appropriate solutions.
• Maintain ongoing communication with end users throughout ticket handling.
• Document performed actions, technical insights, root causes, and resolutions thoroughly.
• Assist with matters concerning Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID, and PowerShell scripting.
• Record actual work effort monthly for service reporting purposes.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum two years of professional experience as an IT Support Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID, and PowerShell.
• Strong knowledge of Windows client systems and environments.
• Proven skills in Windows client support, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
• Experience managing support tickets and communicating effectively with end users.
• Familiarity with software installation, distribution, and troubleshooting installation errors.
• Systematic and solution-focused work style.
• Proficiency in German (very good) and English (good).
