Job description
Role Overview
The IT Security Specialist will be responsible for executing daily cybersecurity operations aligned with company policies and risk management standards. This role requires hands-on involvement maintaining Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) systems, ensuring security measures comply with policies and regulations, and reporting cyber risks during implementation and daily operations.
Key Duties
- Perform operational cybersecurity tasks daily, adhering to security policies and operational risk frameworks.
- Maintain and support PKI components regularly.
- Validate technical implementations and service changes against security and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and escalate cybersecurity risks to senior management.
- Manage configuration and patching of security tools such as vulnerability scanners, endpoint protection, and SIEM.
- Monitor performance, logs, and alerts from security controls and escalate findings appropriately.
- Participate in initial security incident containment and triage following set procedures.
- Conduct scheduled vulnerability assessments and document results for remediation.
- Assist in security testing initiatives like penetration testing and apply security best practices in system configurations.
- Collaborate with auditors to provide documentation supporting regulatory compliance and help resolve audit issues.
- Prepare detailed technical reports on monitoring, tool status, and incident responses.
- Stay updated on security threats, attack methods, and evolving technologies.
- Execute additional operational security responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess 2 to 5 years of experience in IT Security within payment systems, banking, or related sectors.
- Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent field.
