About the Role
We are seeking a skilled 2nd Line IT Engineer to provide comprehensive support to a school campus based in Munich. This full-time, onsite position involves hands-on IT infrastructure maintenance, leading project executions, and managing key stakeholder relations. A crucial responsibility is to facilitate the shift of IT services from centralized management to dedicated local support, working collaboratively with internal IT personnel and external Managed Service Providers to ensure a smooth transition.
Responsibilities
- Deliver onsite IT infrastructure support and 2nd line technical assistance.
- Oversee and troubleshoot LAN networks, switches, firewalls, Windows Servers, and virtualized platforms.
- Administer and maintain Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, Intune, and Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions.
- Support the operational functionality of Windows 11 computers and iPad devices.
- Lead cloud migration initiatives and infrastructure-related projects.
- Coordinate with third-party MSPs and vendors to ensure service quality.
- Effectively communicate technical changes and scheduled downtimes to users without technical backgrounds.
- Assist in transitioning IT services and participate in future managed service provider procurement processes.
Requirements
- Fluency in both German and English languages.
- Demonstrated experience in the Education sector is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, Windows Server, Intune, MDM solutions, Windows 11, and network components such as LANs, switches, and firewalls.
- Experience in managing cloud migration projects successfully.
- Exceptional communication skills coupled with the ability to manage stakeholders and suppliers effectively.
- Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
