Position Overview

The role of the Internal Medicine Physician involves delivering comprehensive adult healthcare services through evaluation, diagnosis, and management of both acute and chronic conditions in outpatient and occasional inpatient contexts. Key duties include performing detailed clinical assessments, ordering and analyzing diagnostic tests, devising evidence-informed treatment plans, and collaborating closely with other healthcare specialists and team members. The physician is responsible for accurate and timely medical record-keeping, supporting preventive health programs, and engaging in quality improvement measures and clinical guideline development. Effective patient education, clear communication with patients' families or caregivers, and strict adherence to local regulatory and professional ethics standards form essential parts of this role. This position requires full-time on-site presence at AlZaem Medical Complex in Doha.

Qualifications and Skills

• Holder of a Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with completed residency training in Internal Medicine from an accredited institution.
• Possession of a valid professional license to practice Internal Medicine and eligibility to register with Qatar's healthcare authorities.
• Strong clinical competency in diagnosing and managing diverse adult diseases, including chronic illness management and preventive care strategies.
• Skilled in interpreting laboratory and imaging results to guide evidence-based decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to foster patient rapport, clarify medical issues, and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• A steadfast commitment to patient-centered care, clinical safety, and compliance with ethical regulations.
• Capability to handle a demanding annual caseload, prioritize clinical tasks, and maintain detailed, up-to-date electronic health records.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic or other common regional languages is advantageous.
• Clinical experience within private or multispecialty clinic environments, with background in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, or guideline creation considered beneficial.
