Internal Auditor

About the Role

As an Internal Auditor at Genpact, you will lead significant projects involving the full spectrum of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, ranging from initial design through implementation of comprehensive SOX programs. This includes managing documentation, conducting control tests, and assessing the effectiveness of internal controls to ensure reliable financial reporting, adherence to laws and regulations, and operational efficiency including cost oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage SOX and audit engagements effectively.
• Design, evaluate, and improve processes and controls.
• Oversee service delivery and supervise team members across levels.
• Utilize analytical capabilities and maintain strong interpersonal relations.
• Understand technology systems and risk management strategies thoroughly.
• Respond to queries related to SOX and audit concerns competently.
• Engage with international clients on SOX and audit projects is preferred.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Professional accountant or auditor credentials such as CA, CPA, CIA, or MBA.
• Proven track record in internal/external audit, process re-engineering, SOX implementation, finance functions, or risk management at a leading organization.
• Prior involvement in SOX projects is essential.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong report writing, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Adaptable and acts with integrity in diverse situations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio.

Preferred Skills and Characteristics

• Capability to collaborate with staff at various levels while handling confidential information sensitively and authoritatively.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
• For Associate Consultants, demonstrated interpersonal skills are required.
