About Unispace
Unispace is a global design-build partner that develops workplaces and life sciences environments for some of the world’s most forward-thinking brands. With more than 500 team members spread across four continents, the company combines strategy, design, project management, and delivery into one integrated service. This approach helps the team work quickly, address complex challenges, and create strong outcomes for clients.
The organisation places people at the heart of its culture and promotes collaboration, inclusion, curiosity, accountability, creativity, and ongoing improvement. It values diverse viewpoints and believes they lead to stronger teams and better experiences for clients and colleagues.
As part of the London studio, you will contribute to meaningful projects, work with international teams, and develop your career in an environment that supports innovation and fresh ideas.
Role overview
Unispace is seeking an Interior Designer for its London studio. In this role, you will support commercial workplace projects from concept development through to final delivery. You will help produce high-quality design work for pitches and tenders, coordinate with project consultants, and contribute to workplaces that reflect Unispace’s global standards and design approach.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare end-to-end interior design packages, including material choices, finish selections, and detailed joinery documentation.
- Show commercial awareness by working within budgets and bills of quantities, supporting fee and proposal management, and keeping your work aligned to profitability goals.
- Assist senior leaders and Principals with project briefs and take part in design reviews at major project stages.
- Work closely with Delivery teams to help achieve financial targets and contribute across disciplines and regions to studio initiatives.
- Keep building your design capability and stay informed about market developments to strengthen studio design operations.
- Ensure that design outputs and professional conduct reflect Unispace’s culture, values, and brand identity.
- Partner with Directors and Principals to identify and implement improvements in design team operations.
Candidate profile
You should bring at least 4 years of professional design experience, ideally in commercial or workplace design, together with a strong portfolio. Advanced Revit skills are essential, and you should also be comfortable using InDesign, Photoshop, and SketchUp. A tertiary qualification, or an equivalent background, in Interior Design or a related design field is required.
The role suits someone who is confident in client-facing settings, communicates and presents well, and can support the delivery of several projects at once while working to demanding deadlines. Experience with resource planning is beneficial. A solid understanding of local building regulations and best-method procurement is important, and having a professional licence or certification would be an advantage. You should also be adaptable, comfortable with ambiguity, and eager to collaborate with colleagues across global studios.
Benefits and working style
Unispace offers a competitive salary, a generous benefits package, pension support, paid annual leave, and opportunities to travel to global offices. The company also provides rewards and recognition, career development support, and a strong focus on well-being. Hybrid and flexible working may be available where possible, but regular attendance at the London studio is required for team collaboration.
Additional information
This job description is intended to outline the general nature and level of work for the role. It is not a complete list of every duty, responsibility, or skill that may be required.

Hiring decisions are made based on qualifications, merit, and business requirements, in line with applicable local laws and regulations.
